Airborne Museum - Oosterbeek
In 1944, approximately 10 kilometres from De Werelt, the largest airborne operation of the Second World War took place: Operation Market Garden. At the Airborne Museum in Oosterbeek, you will discover the story of this operation, which culminated in the Battle of Arnhem. A digital airborne experience gives you an idea of how chaotic and intense the battle was, while letters, diaries and objects also tell the personal side of this operation. The museum is located in the building where the British airborne division had its headquarters during the battle.
